DIBS, I know, but legion does not work for Daiwa any longer. Which TARP bank do you work for, Legion?
Be a man and own up!
stevie, Daiwa did not receive any bailout money.
LOL…I think it was Sachiko who had started emailing me to cover me!!!!
legion, i knew you are somehow connected to wall street as well!! fucking bailout receiving loser! 😉
dibs,
you’ll find this funny, I worked for Daiwa securities across from the WTC in the 80’s.
Ah, you should try to go; email sachiko strickland about it. It is on Dec 11th at the plunge lounge at the Gansevoort. Veryyy decadent, I hear.
They hire “models” to mill around and chat with the guests. Kind of like some of the japanese karaoke bars and their hostesses.
I wish I could go 🙁
etson,
agreed, I find it amusing to hear the US held to this great standard of international enlightenment while Russia poisons political opposition in other nations (Ukraine), China rolls over it’s citizens (Tienemen), and Europe plays appeasement games all over as if Chamberlain never existed.
sure we should attempt to uphold ideals, but the constitution is not a suicide pact.
No, I don’t do any business with Daiwa. i have a good friend that works there though. When is their party???
wasder,
I hate to disappoint you, but the US has been playing hardball internationally since Andrew Jackson’s time.
You may not have always seen it or even heard of it, but president’s on both side of the aisle have made the hard moral choices, how about FDR going ahead with the bombing of Dresden? or Kennedy’s escalation in Indochina? or Truman and his decision to incinerate two cities full of people.
In view of such examples, are you really telling me you are surprised at US military intelligence for allowing known enemies to meet with a bad ending?
