As Curbed noted earlier this week, the monster mansion at 315 Garfield Place in Park Slope which tested the waters with an $8.5 million asking price back in the dark days of late 2008, is back. The 28-foot-wide house is still just as gorgeous, the market is stronger and, at $8.15 million, the price is slightly more within reach. Think they’ll get close?

  1. As amazing as it is, it’s 6800sf, thus making the price well over $1000 psf.

Seems like it should be more like 5 or 6 million, but who knows…it does look special on the inside.

Judging from the old photos, the house used to be green-ish with a wood door. I much prefer the new color of the facade, but that white door looks kinda tacky.

  2. The $350,000 price difference means absolutely nothing to someone willing to plunk down $8.15MM or $8.5MM.

Yes, 11217, the door is ugly, to say the least. It needs a nice Fine paints of Europe gloss job!!!!!!!!!!
