With original interiors like these, the listing for 891 Saint Marks Avenue is something of a tease: Show us more pictures! Please! The Axel Hedman-designed limestone house sits on an extra-deep lot across the street from the Brooklyn Children’s Museum–arguably one of the best blocks in Crown Heights. According to the listing, the one-family pad still retains some of its original sconces in addition to other details like marble sinks and inlaid floors. How much will this little slice of heaven run ya? $875,000.

  1. Ya, “c-t” is a pretty substandard way of expressing yourself in publicly viewed text. I am of the opinion if you don’t like it, leave – this is a business – it’ll stand or fall by its merits. But I don’t expect it is a good way to run a business. Need better editors, I suspect, for the writers on this site.

  2. Technically it’s across the street from the elementary school, but still a nice block.

We can assume the bedrooms are not yet up for showing. I dig the back stairs — do many houses in Crown Heights have these?

  3. given the opening, can I use “cock block”?

the 1-family is nice but the 875k is not. MM, I would buy your Mansion before even remotely consider this baby. this comes across as too wannabe compared to your mansion

  4. I made similar comments about the c-t wording on Friday when this was up briefly. “Tease” gets the point across, no need to get so anatomical. Gross.

The editorial voice of this site seems to be all over the place.
