House of the Day: 29 Grace Court
Someone’s not afraid of a little pink! This new listing at 29 Grace Court in Brooklyn Heights is pretty intense, and we’re not just talking paint color. The 25-foot-wide brownstone in Brooklyn Heights has a massive parlor floor complete with beaucoup original details. (That interior staircase is a bit of a bummer though.) The configuration is a bit odd—2.5 floor owner’s duplex, a ground floor studio and two floor-throughs—but hopefully some well-heeled preservationist will take the $6,200,000 bait and convert the place back to a single-family mansion. Imagine the parties you could throw on that parlor floor!

Listing has been up long enough that there should be more pics and a floorplan by now. But what do you want from these people? They’ll only make 300k on this sale assuming it goes for 5mm. You can’t expect them to take pictures for that.
“mouldings”, ET? Really?
Noki, why haven’t you stopped in the OT as long as you’re here anyway???
I <3 Noki. [SIGH]
I’ve seen the photos and the listing fo a while, Minard. MAybe I’m wrong and it has only been a few weeks but NOT yesterday or today.
That is an amazing parlor floor. I have no idea how to evaluate the property in terms of price, nor do we see anything of the house in the listing, but that parlor is fabulous.
As far as I know, this house just came on the market today or yesterday, it has not been around for a long time.
This house is very grand. The photos do not do it justice. Like the grandest houses from this period, it has enormous scale. Those parlor floor windows are about eleven feet tall.
It has been broken up a bit but that is easily undone.
This is a superb example of a full-blown, high-style, 1860’s NYC brownstone.
No kidding around.
What a shitty listing. This place has been on the market for some time. BHS is pretty lousy if this is representative.
What is going on with that green box at teh top??
