Someone’s not afraid of a little pink! This new listing at 29 Grace Court in Brooklyn Heights is pretty intense, and we’re not just talking paint color. The 25-foot-wide brownstone in Brooklyn Heights has a massive parlor floor complete with beaucoup original details. (That interior staircase is a bit of a bummer though.) The configuration is a bit odd—2.5 floor owner’s duplex, a ground floor studio and two floor-throughs—but hopefully some well-heeled preservationist will take the $6,200,000 bait and convert the place back to a single-family mansion. Imagine the parties you could throw on that parlor floor!

  1. Wow, what a joint. I agree with Minard. It’s all about scale, scale, scale.

The pink and blue makes my teeth hurt but what’s a little paint among friends? Really want to see the floorplan. There’s a strange panel on the rear parlor wall by the internal staircase. What’s with that? But the oddest feature has to be the way the cornice has been cut back to create a balcony suspended over the front facade. That’s truly weird and would be pricey to fix.

  2. yes but 42 grace court was renovated nicely and totally move in condition. this place looks like it needs 1mm of work (im just guessing since we only see crappy parlor pics) i assume baths/kitchen need to be all redone and anyone who would want this would want central air and in a place like this that is quite a undertaking since you would want to preserve all the detail.
