This limestone house at 578 7th Street popped up for sale recently in the Brownstoner Marketplace. We could use a few more interior photos, but from the ones that are there it appears that the place has gobs of original detail. The listing also claims that the house is in excellent shape but that “depending on buyer taste, some interior cosmetic upgrading may be desirable.” The asking price of $2,650,000. What do you make of it?

“Nevertheless, it is true that 321 is a short walk…”
Yes, BoerumHill, but by saying only that the home is a short walk to PS 321, and excluding the fact that the home is not zoned for PL 321, the broker is being disingenuous and misleading.
The home is only 16 feet wide and 3 stories.
That’s pretty small.
The widget was stupid and 99% of the time, it was not even close to guessing the price the property would sell for.
This house (just from first glance of photos and location) is overpriced by about 500K.
“We could use a few more interior photos, but from the ones that are there it appears that the place has gobs of original detail.”
Huh? There’s 5 photos. FIVE! and they look like pictures of:
– front facade, very nice
– entry foyer
– bottom half of a tub
– the back of a church pew
– elementary school corridor
How do you see gobs of details?
BRING BACK THE WIDGET!!!!!!!
Shall we all boycott commenting until the widget is brought back????
Bad photos, no floorplan. I hope this broker is one of 11217’s friends who has a book of clients and can sell it in 30 days without a decent listing.
Nevertheless, it is true that 321 is a short walk…
Where is the widget?
Why has the widget been removed?
Don’t want to upset your advertisers/brokers, Mr. B?
The listing says “Acclaimed P.S. 321 is a few minutes walk…”
But this home is not zoned for PS 321.
Sheesh!
The nerve!
