The striking brownstone at 135 Bainbridge Street in Bed Stuy was an Open House Pick last summer when it was on the market for $1,249,500. The price is now a far more realistic $989,000. The four-family appears to have a lot of original detail intact, but the number of interior photos is pretty limited; presumably the house has suffered somewhat from being chopped up into four units though. Has anyone been inside?

  1. I have to agree, I don’t think it’s worth the asking price.

However, It might fetch between $825k and $865K.

Location matters for the buyer over most aesthetics and from what I’ve seen so far the house has some interesting features.

  2. “Property currently being used as a 4 family brownstone townhouse.

Legal use established is a Single Family. Owner has retained architect to arrange Certificate of Occupancy to be amended to a Legal 2 Family upon accepted offer contracted.”

It seems like the seller doesn’t know what he’s doing.

And maybe he’s not motivated to sell his cash-cow.

  3. Beautiful house great location very close to the A/C. This house should be 750-850K. This is a very nice block one of the best blocks in Brooklyn. This is the best time to come to Stuyvesant Heights right now there are all kinds of new things happening on Lewis such as the new malt shop. I think we should keep an eye on what this house sells for.
