House of the Day: 135 Bainbridge Street
The striking brownstone at 135 Bainbridge Street in Bed Stuy was an Open House Pick last summer when it was on the market for $1,249,500. The price is now a far more realistic $989,000. Has anyone been inside?

I have to agree, I don’t think it’s worth the asking price.
However, It might fetch between $825k and $865K.
Location matters for the buyer over most aesthetics and from what I’ve seen so far the house has some interesting features.
Yeah the malt shop/ drug store is going next to Therapy Wine Bar on Lewis.
“Property currently being used as a 4 family brownstone townhouse.
Legal use established is a Single Family. Owner has retained architect to arrange Certificate of Occupancy to be amended to a Legal 2 Family upon accepted offer contracted.”
It seems like the seller doesn’t know what he’s doing.
And maybe he’s not motivated to sell his cash-cow.
jack slade,
u funny
Amzi where’s the new malt shop? Next to Therapy Wine Bar? Noticed they were installing new flooring in that space today.
Beautiful house great location very close to the A/C. This house should be 750-850K. This is a very nice block one of the best blocks in Brooklyn. This is the best time to come to Stuyvesant Heights right now there are all kinds of new things happening on Lewis such as the new malt shop. I think we should keep an eye on what this house sells for.
Why spend 900 plus here when you can one day buy one of these gems for tad bit more in southslope/greenwood heights.

DIBS, about a year ago, you went to an open house given by Corley in Bed Stuy that was listed for over a million. Do you remember the house?
I bet the other rooms are just too full of tenant belongings to photograph. But why are taxes so high if this is legally a one-family?
