House of the Day: 33 Willow Place
This new listing at 33 Willow Place looks pretty swanky. The brick single-family house is 25 feet wide and full of original details. The house has clearly had a renovation recently, and overall it looks very tastefully done. Given the size, condition and primo Brooklyn Heights location, the asking price of $3,750,000 isn’t completely crazy….

I too am mystified by the kitchen. I know rich folks like to order in and all but I thought having a big kitchen was a status symbol today – this one just feels cramped. Other pix look nice and I have no clue about the price as this seems to be one of those trophy properties that are so far out of my price range that I don’t really follow them…
Sorry about the street/place mix-up, folks!
The kitchen, though i like it, is kind of a bummer because of the depth of the building. It’s too bad that A. it isn’t bigger, B. It can’t be used as a nice sunroom.
I usually don’t like the french country kitchen look but this is done nicely.
I believe this house was featured in the recent book Restoring a House in the City by Ingrid Abramovitch.

Winnah, winnah, chicken dinner.
$4M after bidding war.
Oh, and the resident grew up in French Normandy. So there. That’s AUTHENTIC french country kitchen, folks.
ah man, now there’s 2 more people diluting my odds of winning lotto.
I know it’s a 25 footer and it’s in BK Heights but I expected more for 3.8M
#1 – I hope the TV is included in the price. That would seal the deal.
#2 – They have a huge fork and spoon on the wall. That’s just dumb.

I love it and think it’ll easily get asking price.
No giant flat screen TV on the wall of the parlor? This must be Brooklyn Heights.
