House of the Day: 1201 Dean Street
This one-family limestone house at 1201 Dean Street in Crown Heights has a lot going for it: It’s big, has tons of beautiful old woodwork and has recently had its kitchens and bathrooms updated. The asking price is $849,000, which only comes out to about $225 a foot. You like? 1201 Dean Street [Douglas Elliman]…

Joe, crown heights NORTH. SOUTH is not bad but INFERIOR
This house is also quite close to the A train, maybe 7-8 minute walk if you catch the light on Atlantic.
When I finally buy, I’m looking in Crown Heights. Beautiful…

You just want to be closer to me!!!
benson, that’s what I consistently harp on. Rental units need to be on the garden level otherwise the owner of sucjh a beautiful home with the stairways and skylights needs to keep his doors on each level closed and locked and runs into the tenant going up and down his stairs. it’s just wacko. Especially in some of these places where people are shelling out $2MM!!!!!

Can someone explain how the heck the family in the upatairs rental gets to their apartment? It appears to me that they do so by traipsing through the owners’ apartment.
No thanks. The layout gives me the creeps.
Wasder, that blk among the best looking in the hood and across the borough.
Me like, except for the kitchens, but that’s not a deal killer, if I was in the market. Great block, one of the gems of Crown Heights North. As set up, would be a nice place for someone with a family member or close friend who could take the top floor.
Beautiful! Good price too. Will be interesting to see if that is a price that snags a buyer. Don’t know too much about that block. MM, bxgrl–anything noteworthy about that block?
