This brick townhouse at 142 Dean Street just hit the market. It’s got lots of original charm and is 25 feet wide, which give it a shot at achieving the asking price of $2,750,000, we guess, but this really seems like boom-time pricing to us. We don’t think the current market can support it. That’s not to say we would mind being proved wrong!

  1. Donatella is (sort of) right that Atlantic Avenue in this area has had some gruesome accidents. Also Atlantic Ave is 2 blocks away.

Anyway, this looks like a lovely house in a row of lovely houses. Still, I have a hard time that we are now surpassing 2006 prices for houses: the same size house five houses down sold for $2.4M that year.

  2. it has a really big yard but is sagging in the middle – not morbidly so but a concern. The bathrooms and kitchens need to be renovated – maybe moved. I like it at 2.3 or so

  3. Althought there’s no photos of the backyard, from googlemaps, it looks like it has a nice, unecumbered backyard. (By unencumbered, I mean it’s not boxed in by neighbors… it’s neighbors are all townhouses).

  4. doantella, Atlantic Ave???? I cross that street (sometimes in the middle of the block) a few times a week.
