As the new listing for this brownstone at 29 South Elliott Place freely admits, there’s plenty of cosmetic work that needs doing. The four-story house, however, does have nice bones and happens to be located on a park block on one of Fort Greene’s most picturesque streets. It’s currently configured as an owner’s triplex over a ground-floor rental, arguably the most desirable set-up. The asking price is $1,750,000. Does that seem about right to you?

DH, no way this 15 footer is 3k sq ft
Whoops, meant this for the co-op of the day below. Will re-post. Not that Douglas Elliman are not sleazy and greedy too!
I think it says it’s 3,060 sqft.
Again, the army of sleazy Corcoran brokers! They refuse to put the square footage on this matchbox. Looking at their other listings, we see an apartment at Bedford between Halsey and Fulton that they call “Clinton Hill.” What? Back to geography class. Don’t trust these brokers. Their greed and dishonesty just doesn’t ever recede — recession or not. Use common sense and caution when dealing with brokers. Nice suits, though.
” Although there is considerable work to be done this is clearly worth the opportunity particularly with park block houses having sold on the very block recently upwards of over 2.8M. Make the practical choice and bring in your vision and talent. The home is truly an original”
2.8mm on this block? Is that true?
I don’t know pricing at all in this hood
but it looks like a solid old house with good bones that you could probably have for 1.2ish or maybe less and really do a great renovation with
I think that “large and unsightly school” is Brooklyn Tech.
“Park block.” I know that in Park Slope people/broekrs often refer to anything between 8th Ave and PPW as a park block, but is that usual for Ft. Greene Park?
Pretty. Decor choices are a little Strawberry Shortcake for my taste, but I guess I get to start over at this price level, right? Who knows about price, but nice place in a nice part of town.
Seems more pics are up. Very creative lens usage in that “green room.”
From Streetview, it’s not “on the park” and it is across the street from a rather large & unsightly school.
$1.2MM
