House of the Day: 220 Seeley Street
This cute one-family at 220 Seeley Street just hit the market with a price tag of $1,250,000. It’s got some very nice original details (parquet floors, beamed ceilings) and that holy grail of New York real estate, its own driveway. That kitchen is a riot of bad style. Since it’s 150 feet deep they could become a farm and get a govt subsidy to help pay the mtg.
Driveway is hardly a holy grail. The vast majority of brownstone brooklynites don’t have cars. Driveways are also anti-urban and ruin streetscapes.
MR:
It says on the listing that the lot is 150 feet.
zzzzzzzzz
This might be one of the houses with an extra large lot. There’s about 2 half blocks of them. The listing says 150 ft, but the picture makes it look like a small backyard. If it is indeed one of those lots I believe it will go over 1 million.
If it does indeed have a 100 foot backyard, the agent has been criminally negligent by not emphasizing it.
eh…
It’s ok but there’s nothing special about it.
Hooh Chua — Your photos are decent and it looks like it could be a lovely house. But your site is difficult to use and it’s extremely hard to get an idea of what this house actually is like. It’s clumsy having to go thru the photos like that; we should be able to go thru from one enlargement to the next without having to go back to thumbnails each time. Also, without a floor plan (did I miss it), it’s very hard to get a real sense of the house. And your text is too small, too hard too read.
Just wanted to give you feedback from an ordinary user. It’s a shame here because it does look like charming smaller house.
so how does this comp to house marty mark. just bought in WT? sounds reasonable.
Agreed. Way over priced.
