This two-family limestone house at 594 2nd Street in Park Slope just hit the market this week with a price tag of $3,500,000. It’s a great house to be sure, with lots of original detail combined with a complete modernization of bathrooms, kitchen, etc. It will be an interesting test of the high-end market in the Slope.

  1. uba tuba granite is nice, I almost got that myself.
Yesterday’s house is earlier, therefore more mid-century in its character (I’m talkin’ 19th c. here). That earlier aesthetic is much more appealing to many high-fallutin’ types than is the Victorian look of this later house. So I don’t know which will sell for more. The rear tea room of the Cobble Hill house still has me fantasizing. But it’s true that there is more car traffic on the streets of Cobble Hill. But it’s also much more convenient for zipping in and out of Manhattan…so we shall see.

  2. “yes because there are SO many gazillionire BACHELORS looking to move to PARK SLOPE :-/ hahah”

You are such a dream killer *rob*!!!!

CGar, you love the house so much, buy it. There’s enough room in that shower for two 😉
