Hot house! This 4,552-square-hoot brick and limestone two-family is certainly one of the grandest to hit the market so far this year. Built by an architect for himself in 1899, the house’s kitchens and bathrooms have been updated recently. We can’t find a single thing to complain about, from the park-block location to period details to scale of the rooms. Gorgeous. We’ll see if the price tag flies though: They’re asking $3,800,000 for a place that traded for $2,850,000 in mid-2006. Doable?

  1. I’m just going to hide my own zebra skin throws under my white vinyl couch in shame.

I really appreciate the boldness of that pink stairwell, although it does have me asking, just to make sure: no heterosexual man lives there, right?

  2. look, i get the google it joke, but it’s moot when people are having a discussion about something and someone asks on a DISCUSSION board what something means. jeez. it’s not like i asked what the word word means. i asked what something meant in context to this house. i did however google, bear and bull and figured out in the context of this thread and other threads it’s been mentioned in what they mean. *throws all my blue chips at your head*
oh did you know they make blue tortilla chips!?! those look yummy!
