House of the Day: Trying Again at 204 Washington Park
It was just two months ago that we were writing about Corcoran’s efforts to hawk the five-story brownstone at 204 Washington Park in Fort Greene for the optimistic price of $3,100,000. While this place has got some nice details on the parlor floor and is quite large (5,750 square feet), we think it’s still going to be a tough sell, particularly because of that pesky SRO status (which is conveniently omitted from the current listing).

“railing” connotes metal to most people.
Balustrade might be a better word.
So now we know how much it costs to get fucked in the ass in Fort Greene:
$3 million
If you buy this $2.5M place in FG, it’s a bargain because you’ll probably also get shot in the face for free.
If this house was a hooker, I would piss on her.
you could get one of the NICEST places in park slope.
that’s what’s so insane about this price.
wow these people been snorting crack all day long. for that amount i could get a nice place in park slope.
i don’t think ft. greene is at the low 2’s yet.
shouldn’t be anyway.
not for anything but spectacular.
OKAY…okay…too expensive…and I too was critical above…but it will sell…let’s not browbeat the poor house too badly just b/c the RE broker priced it too high and couldn’t get it together to spruce the place up a little.
It’s not a complete dump, no? And it’s not clear it needs a “total gut” (per 4:33PM). Should be in the low 2s…
“WTF are brokers and sellers thinking?”
WTF are buyers thinking? They’re the ones ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbb_95gPWCE ) that make it possible.
I can’t fathom how a run-down former (?) SRO in need of a total gut, that is 1 block away from the projects, is asking this price.
