Schwing! This new listing at 588 5th Street isn’t hard to get excited about. Located on a park block in the Central Slope, the single-family house has amazing original details, including parquet floors, wood moldings, mirrors, and plaster moldings. The unusual facade, a mix of brick and brownstone, is also part of the package. The kitchen definitely needs some renovating, but it’s huge and has some nice old built-ins that we’d want to try to keep. The asking price is $2,500,000 and we think they’ll get pretty darn close to it.

jurist, looks like you’re right from the floorplans. The broker description however states that each floor has a full bath.
I suspect they do not and that this place is in need of all mechanicls to be upgraded and additiopnal bathrooms and a new kitchen.
Am I missing something or are there no bathrooms on the garden and parlor floors?
Agree with Minard about the kitchen cabinets. And love the garden.
whoever buys this is gonna need alot of murphy’s oil soap
Nice, but seems a lot for a place that needs work. Ceilings in purple room look terrible.
nice!!!!!!! love these brick ones way more than brownstone or even limestone facade ones.
Swoon. I assume a gut job will probably end up killing that quaint little kitchen, but nonetheless, this is a grand home.
Although that’s a big price tag.
beautiful with a price to match. I actually love those old cupboards in the kitchen they could be polished up and look totally great. The only prob here is that the house -though very clean and well cared for- is not renovated so I assume all the plumbing and wiring and hvac would need to be addressed. No big deal but most in this price range want all that work done already.
One please.
