Curbed got a look inside Enrique Norten’s 580 Carroll yesterday, and came out with plenty of images to boot. They snapped a picture of the ever-elusive front yard, some model units and some nice views. According to Curbed, five units are currently in contract, and the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy should be arriving this month, allowing buyers to start closing. The prices are in the mid-$600s for 900-square-foot two-bedrooms, up to $1 million for a pair of ground-floor duplexes with private outdoor spaces, and $1.2 million for the top-floor unit. Gazillions of photos on the link.

I like it too, but *rob* is right about that bathroom window on the Garfield St side – very weird, although I saw it from the inside out rather than from the street.
Like it.

yeah but im sure the standard hotel guests were probably hot. i seriously doubt anyone hot will be moving to this block anytime soon.

Gives new meaning to meat packing eh DH?
Slopefarm, do you think if they built the townhouses it would have made the streetscape a little nicer than what’s there now (really looks like gussied up plywood in person)
“another question. are people allowed to have sex and stuff and not put up shades? ive always wondered that, it’s on private property, but is it legal?”

Hey, wasder,
long chain of stories, but the developer had appealed to be allowed to build a bunch of townhouses on the Carroll Street side of the lot to make up for supposed hardhips encountered in construction. Nothing they shouldn’t have been prepared for and the BSA, after giving them a bunch of chances to make their case, said no. Mr. B covered the play by play on this.

no one ever shows the ass end of this building (and it DOES look like ass) on the other street. on basically ground level you have a FULL VIEW of someones bathroom, including their toilet and shower. that’s just disgusting.
and the rooms look teeny tiny and the walls inside look thin as hell and cheap. also is the glass bulletproof? i always wondered that…
