This one-bedroom co-op at 151 Joralemon Street in Brooklyn Heights that just hit the market ain’t huge but it’s got quite a nice feel to it in our humble opinion. We wish there was a photo of the allegedly recently-renovated kitchen, but the rest of the apartment has nice original detail and appears to be in good shape. Asking price is $345,000 and the monthly maintenance is a low $537. What do you think of it?

This place is not bad for the price. Personally, I wouldn’t buy it, but they’ll probably get close to the ask (assuming there isn’t something weird with the financials, or the like).
But, if people think this place is crap (for the price)… I think that’s pretty elitist. After tax cost for a 1BR in BH for 1600ish (yeah, the place is small) is not bad at all.
It’s around 500 square feet. That’s about $700/foot. That is low for Brooklyn Heights and takes into account the negatives of this apt.

Heh heh. You can’t make this sh*t up. Comedy gold!
Ok dr. phil..

Rob, is one of those people who think that anyone who has any money at all are elitist and not worth his time. It’s because of his insane jealousy for anyone who’s managed to do more with their lives than he has and it’s expressed in every one of his posts. Psychology 101. Little does he know that MANY people in co-ops are people who might have bought their apartment 30 years ago for 50K and have seen their apartment increase in price over time and are now “wealthy” on paper. Then there are people who work hard and make money and buy apartments for these higher prices and he hates them too. He just hates everything and everyone not just like him. But what can you do?
Man, talk about the pot and the kettle!
i would never buy in a co-op anyway cuz i wouldnt want to be dealing with a bunch of elitist busy-bodies, so your point is moot!

it is impossible for rob to ever be on a co-op board because that mean some other co-op board gave him permission to purchase in their building

you sound like a communist. WTF do you care what people do with their money?
well for the most part I dont, but in the situation of a co-op i wouldnt want to live in a co-op building filled with a bunch of spoiled brats who’s parents bought their apartments for them. sorry, but it’s just a preference i have!
