We suspect that this co-op at 24 Monroe Place will sell quickly. The Brooklyn Heights one-bedroom, which is in one of the nicer apartment buildings in the neighborhood, has plenty of prewar charm and appears to be in very good shape. And at $449,000, we’re sure there will be some 32-year-old Cravath lawyer just waiting to snap this up.

  1. The maintenance in this building has gone up alot. I looked at an identical apartment some time ago. It was of modest size, but I liked the fact that the bedroom had windows on opposite walls. The kitchen was very small, which I found typical for Brooklyn Heights, but it did have a window. I find the price a little high, no?

  2. I wonder what the view is? Presumably not brilliant or there would be a pic. Although we didn’t buy our place from Lisa Beck, she was the first person to show us the math that explained how we could afford a brownstone. Definitely one of the nicest, most decent brokers out there.

  3. Best block in BH, but buttermilk is right – this is a higher floor but not worth $50k or $80k more than the others for sale in the building.

Everypone else is spot on about their comments about lack of bathroom or kitchen photos. Surely, they can’t be worse than the two interior photos on the website. Doesn’t look so much like a one bedroom apartment so much as an open floor plan office of an architectural firm, what with all of the office depot furniture. Should be advertised as studio plus commercial office space.

Actually since there is no bedroom picture either, how do we know they don’t have the same office set up in the other room as well?
