Co-op of the Day: 24 Monroe Place, #12B
We suspect that this co-op at 24 Monroe Place will sell quickly. The Brooklyn Heights one-bedroom, which is in one of the nicer apartment buildings in the neighborhood, has plenty of prewar charm and appears to be in very good shape. And at $449,000, we’re sure there will be some 32-year-old Cravath lawyer just waiting…

Lobby is darker in person.
So are a lot of my dates.
Clearly the kitchen and bathroom aren’t exactly gonna be showpieces. But if buyers can’t look beyond crappy furniture and bad staging, they shouldn’t be in the market.
32-year-old Cravath associates are living in the office trying to make partner before 35. They don’t need apartments.

Probably the best block in BH – which means it maybe the best block in Brooklyn (depending how you view such things)
grand army, my point is that the two interior photos don’t show a home, they show a room with some lousy office furniture. If all of the other rooms are staged like this, it does not scream apartment on Monroe so much as office in downtown Brooklyn. Maybe that’s why they don’t show the other rooms – the interior photos actually detract from the sales pitch.
Looking at the floor plan, at least you can open the bedroom door and work on your 10-pin strike from the front door. Just beware of birth trauma each time you pass from the bedroom to the living room.
What’s with 2 out of 6 photos not being of the apartment? Makes me think the apt. is 1.) microscopic 2.) nasty.
I”ve reviewed 3 board packages in the last two months. All for million dollar plus places. All applicants were born in the 80s.
A 32yo big law associate does better than this.
