Co-op of the Day: 24 Monroe Place, #12B
We suspect that this co-op at 24 Monroe Place will sell quickly. The Brooklyn Heights one-bedroom, which is in one of the nicer apartment buildings in the neighborhood, has plenty of prewar charm and appears to be in very good shape. And at $449,000, we’re sure there will be some 32-year-old Cravath lawyer just waiting…

Maintenance/CC: $1,043.
Next.
thwack – net costs for this place is alot lower than $3,000. Anyway, to echo the above, mid-level Cravath associates can generally afford alot more than this. Though, not usually over $1 Million.
For 3k/month, why not rent a nicer 1br someplace nicer?
I do agree with fsrg – I love this block.
The description is trying SO HARD. “Freshly painted walls.” Oh boy. Fetch the checkbook.
“we’re sure there will be some 32-year-old Cravath lawyer just waiting to snap this up”
LMAO. All a Cravath associate (or partner for that matter) needs is a studio because they sleep at the office, if at all. There’s a reason Cravath has showers on every floor.

I”ve reviewed 3 board packages in the last two months. All for million dollar plus places. All applicants were born in the 80s.
ugh.
*rob*
is brownstoner shilling? “has plenty of prewar charm and appears to be in very good shape” – there are no photos of kitchen or bath? what exactly is in good condition besides maybe the floors, and that’s hard to tell.
That kitchen is grotesquely small. This will only sell to a Cravath lawyer who’s in the office until 1:00-11:00 Pm and has dinner there before he heads home.
