We like the windows and the old floors in this corner one-bedroom at 256 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill, and otherwise it’s perfectly inoffensive (except for that partial dropped ceiling with recessed lighting!). The maintenance is also pretty low at $418 a month. The asking price is $349,000. Worth it?

  1. Yes, AJ. That was the middle of winter. Just wait for 90 degree nights! Maybe those “first time homebuyers” can crack a 40 on the sidewalk to wash down peanut butter sandwiches, since if they can’t afford $6/ pound tomatoes at Whole Foods, they probably also won’t be able to afford to run AC.

  2. Epiphany, I said that they were tame compare to Brooklyn standards…meaning that the level of crime is below average compared to NYCHA in Brooklyn. As for the Whole Foods opening, I’m not sure if you were trying to be sarcastic or not…but I don’t think shopping at Whole Foods is going to be on the agenda for a first-time homebuyer…aren’t they expensive?
