Pretzel – have lived 4 blocks northwest of here for a decade and I would judge it very safe.
Wyckoff Gardens is one block south, but in my experience: 1) you don’t ever have to walk that block to get to any subway, and 2) even if you did, not a big deal.
Any nearby NYCHA complex seems to give folks pause, and its the one thing knock about Boerum, but these and one 2 blocks over (Gowanus House) are by no means dangerous. They’re just people who live in the nabe.

Any idea how the vibe is on the street walking here 10 or 11 pm from the Subway stops nearby (F,D,N and 2,3) ? I am not too concerned for me as much as I am for my gf walking late after work by herself.
