Co-op of the Day: 102 Prospect Park West, #4
This two-bedroom co-op that just hit the market at 102 Prospect Park West looks pretty interesting at the initial asking price of $715,000. It’s a floor-through of a large bay-windowed brownstone with lots of original details. It’s also been recently reno’d head-to-toe. The only negative we can spot is that the railroad configuration makes it…

It’s a floor-through of a large bay-windowed brownstone with lots of original details. It’s also been recently reno’d head-to-toe. The only negative we can spot is that the railroad configuration makes it tough to really use the middle room as a real bedroom. On a square-footage and finish basis, it looks good though.

funny
Nice place, but I really don’t like the bars on the window feel as this place appears to be beside the main door = more noise – you get to know and love everyone’s schedule who lives in the complex
> Wasn’t this apartment for sale last year for 799?

haha. that’s a cute one…
i like to interpret it as go-on-us. as in, all of the disgusting juices from park slope run down the hill and fester in the gowanus plains.
i don’t want to fight either, but the internet makes it so easy!
11217, picking on the interiors is half the fun here! 😉
Demographic-couple, maybe couple with child on weekends. Preferebly 30-40 something to deal with stairs.
W/D-build a cabinet for it or get an undercounter model washer/dryer combined model like ASKO.
Fireplaces-get them working
Offer 650K.
Still be lots cheaper than a 1 bedroom across central park. east side < Park slope=westside
It is NOT a 2-bedroom – those in the Master Bedroom would be trapped by the sleep schedule of the person in the “middle” bedroom.

Right, which is already the reality of living with a toddler.
🙂
It would totally work for us, and I could see couple with a preschooler being happy here.
Maybe in 10 years I’ll want an apartment with winged en suite bedrooms separated by everything else.
I don’t have a problem functionally with the laundry in the kitchen, I just think that stacked unit is SO unsightly (and there’s a word I don’t use often!). Put a curtain over it or something.
Otherwise, agree generally that it’s a nice-looking place but really not a workable two-bedroom.
Was raised Catholic too Joe and my middle name is a Saint.
Lord knows that was a mistake!! 🙂
