Another unit at the former St. Paul’s Parish School at 205 Warren Street has just come on the market. A 1,300-square-foot apartment down the hall, which had been asking $995,000 back in December, closed for $975,000 in March, a strong vote of confidence in the building. Apartment 2D, by comparison, is 700 square feet and asking $625,000. It traded for as little as $466,000 less than a year ago, but it looks like the kitchen was renovated in the meantime. (Personally, we’re not loving it.) We do love the overall vibe of this building and the windows and ceiling heights in these second-floor apartments are killer. Think they’ll get their price on this one?

Co-op of the Day: 205 Warren Street, #2A [Brownstoner]
Former Catholic School on Warren Street [Brownstoner]
Residential Sales 6/2/06 [Brownstoner]
That’s not a bedroom. It’s an open loft above the living room.
1:49 i agree,
i ended up bidding $450k (my limit)
at the time I only knew that it went for even higher, and i wasnt surprised, it is well located.
Studio.
hey dave,
looks like the kitchen was the only thing changed.
cant say i like all the granite. before it was linoleum but a serviceable layout. If i had bought the place i would have eventually upgraded the kitchen.
the apartment had a lot of charm. it took months before i stopped being annoyed that i didnt get it.
435K sounds AWFULLY cheap for this place for last year….
Dave, anyone who is even a casual visitor to Brownstoner knows you’re absolutely not a racist. Ignore the trolls.
1:45…was the kitchen the only thing upgraded since you looked at it back then???
Last spring i started a search for an apartment,
and bid on this apartment. I totally loved it. Makes me mad that the person is moving out so quickly.
It was marketed for $435,000, To ask so much more for it now is ridiculous.
Luckily i found a much better apartment in Bk heights!
They don’t all believe in feng shui either, hatemonger.
