My aunt replied “Sure we do, they’re to protect us from people like you!”

Obviously she was including the majority on this site, no?

Nice. Perfect.
never mind Burnett street….don’t think most people here have a clue where MarinePark is anyway.

At my cousin’s private college, a faculty member made a comment in a mocking tone to a group of parents including my aunt how in my cousin’s neighborhood in Brooklyn all the Italian people have statues of the Virgin Mary in their front yards.

Ditto what zinka said. Those One Hanson studios are minuscule.
I can believe it sold for asking. It’s about $1600 a month to own. Factor in the tax deduction and it’s about the same, if not cheaper than renting a comparable studio in Ft. Greene.
To live by yourself for 1200/1300 in a nice area of this city (even in a small apartment) is a luxury.
I saw the One Hanson apt too, it was very tiny, not much room for a bed in that 8 x 14 ft living space, but the bathroom was huge. Can’t believe it sold for asking. But I agree, great building!
That One Hanson apt is TINY. It’s really intended to be a maid’s room or office. Realistically it’s probably about 200 interior sq ft at the most.
Had I seen the listing for Hanson Place I would have been tempted to look at it out of curiosity sake.
Not sure a highrise is for me, but I do LOVE that building. Walk downstairs to the Flea would be pretty cool. 🙂
