A Bay Ridge Row House With a Garage and Three More To See This Weekend, Starting at $880K

Our selections for open houses to see this weekend include a narrow Park Slope two-family and an estate condition single-family in Crown Heights. Found in Bed Stuy, Park Slope, Crown Heights and Bay Ridge, they range in price from $880,000 to $1.495 Million. Which will you see?

First up, this circa 1880s Neo-Grec on Monroe Street in Bed Stuy has some original door and window moldings along with some 20th century wall moldings, but no mantels. The 20-foot wide house is a two-family, set up with a top floor rental and a two-bedroom owner’s duplex with 1.5 baths below. The kitchen in the duplex has some vintage cabinets and a stove set into the chimney wall. The adjacent mudroom leads to the backyard which has a concrete patio and some planting beds. The rental unit has two bedrooms and a more recently remodeled kitchen.

Next, at just 12.5 feet wide, this Park Slope two-family has a scale that gives a hint to its 19th century origins underneath the Permastoned facade. The circa 1940 tax photo shows a once-charming wood frame and its neighbor. The few interior listing photos don’t show any original details left but they do show spaces that appear move-in-ready. It has a two-bedroom owners duplex with laundry and 1.5 baths, along with a one-bedroom rental on the garden level. A deck off the kitchen of the owner’s duplex leads down to the narrow garden with a path leading to a pergola-covered seating area.

This Lincoln Place bow-front row house in Crown Heights is in estate condition with parquet floors with inlaid borders, wall moldings and an original stair. The single-family home has living, dining and kitchen on the parlor level and four bedrooms and a full bath above. A half bath is downstairs along with laundry and mechanicals. While the interior needs a polish, according to the listing the boiler and hot water heater are “fairly new.” The rear yard has planting beds along the edges and in the center and concrete pathways.

Finally, in Bay Ridge is another estate condition property, this one an early 20th century brick row house with windowed enclosed front porch. It also boasts a shared driveway leading to a garage. The single-family house has living, dining and kitchen on the main floor with three bedrooms and a full bath above. Downstairs is another full bath and a rec room in the semi-finished basement. There are still some period details on the interior, including an original stair, parquet and built-ins. The kitchen and one bath that are shown were more recently renovated and appear in good shape.
