Four Newly Renovated Houses in Bed Stuy and Bushwick to See This Fourth of July Weekend
Our open house picks to see this Fourth of July weekend have all been thoroughly updated — so enjoy the air conditioning.

For those staying in town this Fourth of July weekend, we’ve rounded up four open houses to see. All are in the two adjacent neighborhoods of Bed Stuy and Bushwick and all are recently renovated — so enjoy the air conditioning.
Going in order of price from high to low, our first pick, at 525 Quincy Street in Bed Stuy, offers a three-bedroom triplex over a one-bedroom garden apartment. The open-plan parlor floor has a modern-style kitchen with Pietra Cardosa stone counters, and there’s a deck leading down to the garden.
Not far from Irving Square Park in Bushwick, we find a wood frame house with original front door and updated interior at 1230 Hancock Street. It’s set up as a three-bedroom duplex over a two-bedroom garden floor rental, and features new wood paneling and exposed brick.
Our next pick, at 108 Weirfield in Bushwick, is also a wood frame, although it has a brick veneer facade. Inside, you’ll find a coffered ceiling, new panelling, exposed brick and a clawfoot tub. It’s configured as a three-bedroom duplex over a two-bedroom garden-floor apartment.
Our last candidate, at 301 Bainbridge Street, is a two-story single-family house with three bedrooms and two baths. The focal point of the great room is an infrared fireplace on stone-tile walls. There is also a new wood staircase with a modern screen.
