Our open house picks this week span a variety of neighborhoods and conditions, but all clock in between $1.395 million and $1.895 million.

The highest priced of the bunch is also the biggest. A standalone Victorian or Edwardian on Rugby Road in West Midwood, close to Brooklyn College and two subway stops from the shops on Cortelyou, it’s got space and original detail to spare. The latter includes a wraparound porch, mantels, inlaid floors, stained glass windows, and a built-in dish cupboard. You’ll also find five bedrooms, two full and two half baths, a study, a dining room, a breakfast nook, and a large landscaped yard.

Moving over to Bed Stuy, we’ve got two properties. The first, on Greene Avenue, is a four-story, four-family Neo-Grec brownstone bursting with original detail. It doesn’t look to have been recently renovated though it does appear to be well kept, at least going by the photos.

Our other Bed Stuy pick, on Lafayette Avenue, is a wood frame house that has been thoroughly remodeled inside and out, with a modern brick facade, contemporary open-plan layout and big windows. It’s configured as a duplex over a garden apartment. It has energy-efficient lighting, a camera/video intercom system, and central heating and air conditioning.

Our lowest-price pick is on Hall Street not far from the BQE in Wallabout. A modest wood frame now covered in stucco, the two-story, two-family house has retained little historic detail inside or out. It’s set up as two floor-through apartments over a finished basement. The photos suggest the house is technically in move-in condition, but most buyers will probably want to update and upgrade.
