If you were a celebrity, where would you want to live? Brooklyn is a nice little hideaway, and a couple mil goes much farther here than in, say, Manhattan.

In 2015, Nets player Thaddeus Young joined the swelling ranks of celebrities who call Brooklyn home, while Girls star Zosia Mamet hightailed it back to Manhattan after a short stint in Bushwick.

Confirmed Brooklynites Michelle Williams, Christina Ricci, and Norah Jones snapped up new townhouses in the borough this year. It’s hard to say which is more impressive: The $6,250,000 “Eat, Pray, Love” carriage house Jones bought or the Prospect Park South mega-mansion Williams bought for $2,500,001. The most prominent house in the area, it’s been called a “Victorian steamboat of a house…on steroids.”

1. Zosia Mamet Selling Bushwick House After One Year, Asks $600K More
After living in Bushwick for only 11 months, Girls star Zosia Mamet and boyfriend actor Evan Jonigkeit put their house on the market and sold it in May. They reaped $337,500 from the sale, and Bushwick, for better or worse, was left with a much higher profile. The couple didn’t do much to the interior, except to paint the kitchen cabinets white. The house at 896 Flushing Avenue was already gut renovated without a shred of original detail left when they purchased it.
