The Kinko houses were innovative two-family row houses built between 1905 and 1913, mostly in Crown Heights North, as Suzanne Spellen explains in this rundown. (The name is an anagram of their first developer, Kings and Westchester Land Company.)

The eclectic houses came in a variety of picturesque styles — this one is Arts and Crafts, according to the designation report — but all have double duplexes each with their own front entrance. They are “among the jewels of the housing stock in this neighborhood,” she writes.

This one was built in 1908 and designed by architect William Debus. It’s got three bedrooms on the top and a floor of living space below. There’s only one bathroom, but it’s a nice one, with dual sinks, a granite countertop, radiant floor heating and a whirlpool tub.

The lower floor is quite nice. The living room’s got an oversized window facing the street, an alcove that could fit a desk, and an ornate mantel. There’s a separate dining area and a bright, attractive, renovated eat-in kitchen with high ceilings, cherry cabinets, an island and large windows.

All told there’s around 1,500 square feet, according to the listing. There’s a full-sized stacked washer and dryer in a closet on the second floor. The Kingston Avenue 3 train stop is two blocks off, on Eastern Parkway.
