We haven’t checked in on 288 7th Street—which, in a past life, was a two-story carriage house—since last summer, but since then it’s hit the market and one of its three units is in contract, according to StreetEasy. The two remaining duplexes in the condo, which is between 4th and 5th avenues, cost $1,700,000 for a 2,216 square footer with one bedroom and $2,500,000 for a 2,216-square-foot three-bedroom. Update: Looks like the only unit currently on the market is the 2,216-square-foot condo asking $1,700,000. Anyone checked ’em out in the flesh?

Retro Thinking Gone Wild at 288 7th Street [Brownstoner]
Obviously you haven’t clicked on the link to see what it looked like before this.
Massive improvement. I like a lot of what they’ve done with it and the interiors are lovely.
I can see that the apartments themselves must be very nice but the facade is grotesque.
The façade looks surprisingly clunky for the prices asked. The interiors are nice enough, so why are the outside proportions so wrong?
The phrase “sore thumb” come so mind.
^^^Think you have incorrect info-unless you have inside information,
#3 shows Temp De-listed, #2 is in contract,#1 is still available.
Prices are wayyy too high but the finishings are real nice.
Or actually I think I’m wrong. Unit #3 hasn’t closed, it was just taken off the market yesterday.
NEVERMIND!!
I think you have the info incorrect.
Unit #3 (the unit asking 2.5 million) already CLOSED.
Unit #2 asking 2 million is IN CONTRACT.
The only active listing is unit #1 asking 1.7 million.
One left. HUGE prices for this block.
Saw it – and it is very nice but 2.5M on 7th St between 4th and 5th stuck me as too high.
The $3 hot pink No Parking signs are really classy.
