The MTA is offering a number of spaces throughout the city subway system for pop-up stores, one of which is in Queens. The spot in question is a temporarily vacant newsstand at the 61st Street-Woodside station along the 7 line. According to the MTA announcement, “Within the subway system, the participating businesses occupy small spaces on a temporary basis with month-to-month terms while the MTA seeks to secure long-term tenants through its traditional open bidding processes.” Interested retailers should visit this link to apply.
