The Seaside branch of the Queens library will reopen on October 28th for the first time since Hurricane Sandy. According to The Wave, the library, on Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 117th Street, sustained $1,200,000 in damage. The hurricane destroyed $500,000 worth of library books. The library plans to hold a reopening community celebration on Sunday, October 27th from 3 pm to 5 pm. Here are the event details. GMAP
