A Brewery in the Works for Glendale

A reader alerted us to Finback Brewery, now under construction at 78-01 77th Avenue in Glendale. The owners are avid home brewers who are now working to open a 20-barrel brewery in an old warehouse space. The photo above, from Facebook, shows the construction progress over the summer. Once finished with construction, the brewery will have a tasting room, events room and back yard. Here’s an example of the types of ales that will be on tap. Earlier this month Finback launched a Kickstarter to raise $28,000 for a giant wooden barrel to make sour beers, aging barrels, extra hoses, equipment and ingredients. So far they’ve raised almost $10,000; the funding period lasts through October 10th. GMAP
