Two Exciting Openings for Astoria This Month

March is shaping up to be a nice month in Astoria, as We Heart Astoria reports on a few exciting openings for the nabe. First up, the second location of Astoria Bier & Cheese (pictured above) celebrated its soft opening at 35-11 Ditmars Boulevard today at noon. Grand opening details are TBD. The new location, like the original one on Broadway, will be filling growlers with draft beer and selling bottled beers, fancy cheeses, cheese plates and the like. According to Astoria Bier and Cheese, the draft beer selections will have “a focus on outstanding beers from local breweries.”

And The Bao Shoppe, a sandwich shop that will serve bao’s inspired by Asian and American flavors, will open at 30-66 Steinway Street this Saturday, March 22nd. The menu will also include bubble tea. You can follow those guys at the Bao Shoppe Facebook page.
