breaksHM_V.jpgSomehow we missed this major retail news from Tuesday: H&M “has officially signed a 15-year lease at property owner Al Laboz’s 497 Fulton Street building on the Fulton Street Mall. The 29,600-square-foot store, between Hoyt and Bridge streets, will be H&M’s first street location Brooklyn,” reports the Observer. Due to construction, it won’t open until 2010.

  1. BRG, I’m going to quiz Mini-Half on this – she’s a little on the goth side – so if it’s tooo cute she might not go for it. But she’s definitely going girly-er lately.

I was raised wearing Sears and thrift store clothes. Twice a year we were allowed to pick stuff out of the catalog. You can imagine the ‘free abuse’ we got at school, etc. And we wore them until they were effing rags. I hate the consumer culture. But I like to look nice, and I can spend ‘real’ money on clothes from time to time. A great good pair of boots, a good coat…that kind of thing.

Ooooh, I wish I could work in my PJs!! [oozing pure-green-envy-from-my-cube-farm…]
