Spring is a time to clean and refresh, and with design month approaching in May, it is also a time to grab some inspiration before tackling some interior projects.

This year NYCxDESIGN, a nonprofit that promotes the city’s creative community, is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and exhibitions, panels, open studios and trade shows will be taking place across the city from May 10 to 20.

The anchor trade shows, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) and WantedDesign Manhattan, both run from May 15 to 17 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.

If you want to stay in Brooklyn, there are plenty of events to choose from. There are studio crawls in Red Hook on May 12 and at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on May 14, offering behind-the-scenes looks at design studios and some demonstrations.
