Christmas isn’t supposed to be about material things but we thought we’d close out this abbreviated day of posting with a look inside the recently rehabbed mansion on Prospect Park West that used to be owned by the actors Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany but was bought in 2008 for $8,450,000 by a family blessed with much Google stock. Well, the renovation, by David Howell Design, is now finished, according to the blog FIPS, and the photos are ready for public consumption. And envy. Enjoy!
dam near perfect
ugh i hate new money
*rob*
Great house, a Montrose Morris designed house, of course.
Gotta say, though, not as fancy as one would think, considering the location, although the square footage and graciousness of the layout are what make it, not the individual period detail. The owners obviously treasure the history of the house and are working with preserving it, while bringing it up to the 21st century. Smart people, and good stewards of an historic property. Kudos.
A major redesign is underway…hopefully live sometime in February.
Very pretty. I especially like the kitchen and tepee. Glad to see Google’s money going to a good cause.
Looks like marble.
is that really a teepee in the bedroom? i have a cousin who told me his kid isn’t allowed to play “cowboys and indians” at school becuase it is racist. so they have to play “native persons” or some BS. what is this world coming to.
