convert 2 family to 4 family

I understand the stricter code requirements. The only unknown variable is the new property tax. How high can it go? I need at least a guesstimate.

I’ve seen many comments about the potential tax implications, and I know they will go up. Does anyone have any guestimate as to where taxes might go? Currently, they are $4,500\. How high can they potentially go? They shouldn’t go higher than other 4 families in the neighborhood, right? This will be a 4000 sq ft + cellar four family in R6B zone.

I don’t know about taxes, but going from a 2 to a 4 family will mean you have to comply with stricter code requirements. You may to install sprinklers, more means of egress, and comply with ADA requirements among other things.
