Replacing a Sub Floor

Not much, but assuming the joists are not straight and the subfloor is crooked, it will involve a lot of adjusting and shimming and joist repairs should be done where possible if the subfloor is up. I’d leave what’s under the partition walls and try to hide the evidence with the trim, but it’s hard to say what problems might occur without seeing the site.

What would someone need to know about replacing an entire sub floor, as opposed to repairing it? What threat might this be to existing walls/staircase? What is best material? Would licenses/special permits be required? What else might a person need to know?
