Recommendation for electrical supply store

We usually take the help of home electricians to do home electrical repairs.( http://www.theshockdoctors.ca/services/home-electrical-inspection )I often get confused when comes to wiring etc.Therefore I seek the help of experts.So I not often visit the electrical supply stores.
