Mosaic tile in bathroom: can you fix a bad install?

Rip it out and redo. You will regret any attempt to try to make the current condition right. It’s worth paying to do it over because if it’s done right they’ll last for years to come.

I had some expensive marble mosaic tile that was badly installed in a bathroom. The surface was not prepared properly and so there are sections where there is not a smooth transition between two neighboring tiles. Since this is for a bathroom where ideally you could stand barefoot, it’s really important to have a smooth surface. Is it possible to fix this after the fact in the same way that you might sand down a wood floor? Or is better to just start over again?

You’ll have to demo and redo the tile at this point.
