Good source for wide plank (farmhouse-style?) solid wood flooring?

Anyone have any recommendations for places to buy this type of wood flooring? We want maybe 5-10″wide, solid wood, not engineered/veneered and like the worn/farm kitchen type look. It could be reclaimed or new with an old look to it. We need around 1000-1500 square feet and while we realize this material will not be cheap, obviously looking for a good price for a quantity.

Try Madera in Bed Stuy. You can get old growth pine (harder than the new stuff) and the like for around $10, maybe less. I haven’t used but the shop seems
solid.

You should really check with the two sources I posted. I bet the shipping to NYC isn’t as much as you might expect. I got the Reclaimed flooring from Sylvan Brandt and was very happy with it. It comes planed on the bottom and tongue and groove. The top gets a rough sand for a more country look and then you stain and seal it.

Yup. I’m glad we got ours from the house as it was obv less expensive to refinish what we already had versus buying it. I’ve heard prices of $25+ per sqft which is bonkers.

We had our flooring removed and refinished by NYCity Slab. I know they have more for sale. They did a very nice job and said that we could purchase more from them if we needed it to finish for I *believe* $18sqft.

Your location and shipping charges will differentiate what you are going to pay. I would at least check with both of these places with whom I have done business. Their prices are pretty good. I am pretty sure they are both now arranging shipping to NYC. www.sylvanbrandt.com and www.oldreclaimedwood.com I know oldreclaimedwood.com (J.C. Woodworking in PA) definitely ships to NYC
