Anyone know a good dump site for construction debris?

I need to dispose of a large quantity of bagged plaster and drywall garbage and have a truck. Does anyone know of a site anywhere in the NYC area to dump it and approximate cost per ton? I have heard sites in the Bronx are cheaper than Brooklyn but can’t seem to locate them easily. Thanks for any info!

There really aren’t any self service dump sites anymore, especially in NYC.
I’ve used M.S.A. Quality for dumping my reno debris.
347-400-1121 or 347-400-1141.
You send them a pic of the stuff and they give a price.

LOL, Bob. I bet that’s what happened. Dumping your debris in the Gowanus is a definite no-no, unless you actually want to expose yourself to some financial liability for the Superfund cleanup. OTOH, if you are looking for a place to dispose of a body after a successful mob hit, gowanus canal is a serious local choice.

@BobMarvin – It was a serious suggestion! You file your job with the EPA as part of their new “Fill & Cap” Super Fund Clean-up Program.
