Amazing and reasonable mason/brick worker who helped repair our stoop and front

A few years ago I wrote on this forum asking for recs for a good Mason and after several years (and not good Masons) I finally found one that I wanted to recommend here. His name is Mik and the company is called Milestone Restoration. Their number is 718-772-2372. We have used him twice now – once to repoint a front section of our building that was leaking inside and another time to repair our front retaining wall and concrete on our stoop. Both times, Mik and his crew started the work on time and completed it quickly and professionally. The work was done extremely well. It has been two years since we did the repointing and we have had no problems with the leaks anymore. We are also really pleased with our front repairs. The front is properly sloped to make sure rain runs off and looks great. Mik and his guys were very communicative throughout the process and responsive to questions we had. He also was accurate about when he could start and finish the work, and worked with our schedule also. It is rare to find a contractor who is reliable, does good work, and is reasonab ly priced. We used Mik because my mother, who owns an apartment in a coop, needed to get their wall repointed and cornice repaired. They are in a landmarked area and Mik got permits, set up scaffolding, and the work still looks great now several years later. When she called multiple Mason’s and got numerous quotes, Mik came in very reasonably priced. He was not the cheapest quote but was not the most expensive by far and he has gotten so many other good reviews online that it made sense to go with him. I am happy we found him and we will use him exclusively for masonry and probably roof work in the future. (I guess he does roof work too though we haven’t needed him for that yet, thank goodness. I also appreciated that he was sensitive to our budget. He even made sure that the pavers they installed in the front were perfectly flat, grinding down a corner here and there to make sure no one will trip on them. I cannot recommend him more highly.
