Advice on budget renovation

I’m looking for advice about our upcoming project from homeowners (not service providers) who have been through a renovation. We’re buying a Bay Ridge row house and making some big changes, including moving the tenant’s floor from the top to the garden floor (also new wiring, new kitchen, bathroom, deck, and floors, among others). I’ve been reading the archives and have lots of questions about the renovation process and huge concerns about spending more money than our limited budget.
