We have a tiny apartment on 13th street and Prospect Park West and are looking for a storage solution for our bikes.

What are you willing to spend/month?  I ask because my coop has provided a limited number of spaces for shareholder’s bikes as part of our existing storage space, without an additional charge.  All spaces are taken, mostly by bikes with flat tires.  Not many bikes ever go to work or to the park.  The bike room became a junkyard.   Demand for parking spaces is so high, I can’t even ride my bike to work without finding my assigned space occupied by another’s bike when I get back at night.  So, if the coop started charging, what is the value of a bike parking space?

You might want to ask around at any parking garages/lots near you. The Edison ParkFast near us in downtown Brooklyn offers bicycle parking for $1/day or $30/month. It’s outdoor, but a lot of people have covers for their bikes that they leave there, and there’s a 24-hour attendant. You may be able to arrange something with other lots/garages even if they don’t advertise bike parking. Good luck!
