House trap installation, new waste and sewer lines
Hello all. I believe my house was built without a house trap in the basement. (Everybody that’s come to try to find it cannot do so.) I plan on taking care of a leaky waste line, and while I’m at it, I’m planning on getting the sewer line looked at, as well as getting a house trap installed. Before I dive in, do any of you have advice on making sure I go about having this done properly (specifically the house trap)? Anything I should make sure to avoid? Also, what is the preferred method and location of placing the fresh air inlet? Thanks for your input, Frank

i actually like that my house doesn’t have a house trap. Everything just flows straight. Vs having to clean a trap every once in awhile cause the bottom always fills up with stuff.

Are you sure that you do not have a combined sewer outlet with the house next door?..I have seen that a few times on stick frames in Brooklyn
