Hot Water Heaters
My heater is at least 10 years old and I’m thinking of replacing it pre-emptively. Can anyone inform me about the new hot water heater regulations that may be about to go into effect? http://www.bradfordwhite.com/sites/default/files/pdf/2013-0913_BWC-DOE%202015-article.pdf Specifically, I’m worried that I wouldn’t have proper ventilation in my old brownstone for the new heaters.

Hello all. Can anyone recommend a hot water heater for a 4 story brownstone? I currently have a 75 gallon and one person suggested that I up it to 100 gallons. I want something that has pretty decent efficiency. All suggestions welcomed! Thanks.

Jon.. I have had a similar problem with a installation of 4 AO Smith Cyclones in a high rise in the east 30s… 3 went down 3 years after installation, 2 were replaced, had the usual problems due to the lack of gas regulators on the original installation, and one just failed due to a blown computer board… Losing faith in the product

you will probably see a lot more installations of smaller duplex water heaters since under 55 gallons will still be chimney ventied
